Verbal Behavior

The learning strategy Verbal Behavior (VB) stresses – comparable to Pragmatics in Linguistics – the function of language in context. Listener and speaker roles are distinguished and a variety of verbal and related skills are taught, such as play, social and academic skills. The following trailer gives examples of „mands“ (requests, demands), „tacts“ (labeling, describing) and „intraverbals“ (associating).

A training in VB is necessary to apply this strategy effectively.
